I’ve always wanted to act…
…but where I grew up, you basically had to choose: sports or theater, and I loved sports. I played and coached soccer and basketball, ran track, and played ultimate frisbee. I participated in acting classes and camps during the summers, and when I was sixteen, I visited the Big Apple for the first time and it felt like I was home. The summer before my senior year I attended a conservatory program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and I couldn’t wait to go back.
In January of ‘22, after doing a smattering of theater and film work in Minnesota, I made the leap- I’ve been studying, connecting, making friends, and soaking it all up. I never thought I’d be a writer even though it’s in my genes, but this city, my experiences and the friends I’ve made compelled me, and it turns out, I love it. I’m currently working on my second feature-length screenplay and my second short film, and I’m studying playwriting as well.
